Privacy policy

Aetheron Works (Private) Limited is a software company based in Sri Lanka. We decide how the information described here is used. You can reach us about privacy at info@aetheronworks.com or on +94 70 441 3349.

Only what you choose to give us, plus a little technical information:

• Request forms (the homepage request and the contact page form): your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email, business name, what you need help with, how you'd like to work with us, and anything you write in your message.
• Booking a call: your name, email, business name, what you'd like to talk about, and the time you pick.
• WhatsApp, phone and email: whatever you send us in those conversations.
• Choices on the site: which kind of visitor you said you are (“I'm a…”), which is added to your request so we understand it.
• Analytics, only if you agree to it: which pages you visit and which buttons you use. See section 6.

• To reply to your enquiry and arrange the call you asked for.
• To understand your business so we can prepare a proposal.
• To send you the calendar invitation and video link for a booked call.
• If you become a client, to deliver and support the work we agree on.
• To see which parts of the site help visitors, only with your agreement.

We use your information because you asked us to contact you, or to take steps before entering into an agreement with you. We don't send marketing emails, and we don't use your information for automated decisions about you.

We don't run our own servers for your data. These services process it on our behalf:

• Google (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Meet and Google Sheets): emails, booked calls and the record of enquiries are kept in our company Google account.
• WhatsApp (Meta): when you choose to message us on WhatsApp, the conversation is handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy.
• Google Analytics: only if you accept analytics cookies.
• Our website host: serves the pages and keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security.

Some of these services store data outside Sri Lanka. We use providers that protect it with appropriate safeguards. We only share your information with anyone else if the law requires it.

We keep enquiries and call bookings only for as long as we need them to follow up with you and plan the work you asked about. If you become a client, we keep project records for as long as the work, our agreement, or the law requires. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

The site stores a few small settings in your browser so it works the way you left it: your light or dark theme, the kind of visitor you picked, and your cookie choice. These never leave your device and are not used to track you.

We only use analytics cookies (Google Analytics) if you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. Until then, no analytics code loads. Analytics shows us how visitors use the site, with IP addresses anonymised, and is not used for advertising. You can change your choice at any time.

Under Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022, and similar laws where you live, you can ask us to:

• tell you what information we hold about you, and give you a copy;
• correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
• delete your information;
• stop or limit how we use it, or withdraw a consent you gave.

Email info@aetheronworks.comand we'll respond as soon as we can, within the time the law allows. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Authority of Sri Lanka.

Your information is kept in our company accounts, and only the people working on your enquiry can see it. No system is perfectly secure, but we'll tell you promptly if a problem ever affects your information.

Our services are for businesses. The site is not meant for children, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
